A Church. A Family. Welcome Home!

Our Vision

Our Vision is for each person who attends The Refuge to:
  1.  Grow Exponentially in their relationship with Jesus Christ
  2. Be Called Out to live a passionate and fruitful Christian life
  3. Be Launched Out to “evangelize our community”, “shake nations”, and “impact the world” for Jesus Christ
Detailed Explanation:

1.  Grow Exponentially

We have seen rapid growth in all nationalities that attend The Refuge; it is God’s purpose for the church. Americans living in Italy do not have the normal “time wasters” and “support structures” they have in the U.S. With all of this stripped away they have the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ much faster and deeper than they normally would (exponentially).

2.  Called Out

We believe that as a result of the rapid growth in their relationship with the Lord He will call them out to bear great fruit for Him. Each person’s destiny at The Refuge is to catch on fire and burn with zeal for Him. Jesus will become their “first love” and greatest passion in their life. This will be evidenced in the way that they live and by the lives they affect for eternity.

3.  Launched Out

When believers experience exponential growth and the Lord calls them out to burn for Him, they will first of all go out and impact their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many (most) people who attend The Refuge will eventually move and they will leave Italy a different people than when they came. When it’s time for them to leave we will bring them to the front of the church, gather around them, lay hands on them, and prayerfully launch them out to “shake nations” and to “impact the world” for Jesus Christ. They have a destiny in Christ!! This constant turnover is the ministry that the Lord has called us to and we have fully embraced this truth.

Ministry Goal for All We Do:

For the lives, marriages, and families of all who attend The Refuge to demonstrate Christ to the world that we might win the world to Christ!
